Policies and Terms of use

Individual (drop-in) class/Workshop bookings:
Booking classes/workshops in advance is essential as class/workshop numbers are limited and spaces are therefore subject to availability.  Your place is only confirmed once payment has been received.  It is not possible to reserve places without payment.   Drop-in places for YogaFit/Hatha Yoga Flow classes (which are usually booked in blocks) may be an option, but are subject to space availability, therefore you must contact Kate prior to a class to book/pay for a drop-in space.
To cancel an individual class/workshop booking, please contact me at least 24 hours before the class/workshop start time (ideally by email or text if email is not an option - cancellations via social media messaging may be missed and therefore not suitably actioned). Cancellations 24 hours or more before the start time will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to an alternative class (subject to availability). Cancellations within 24 hours of the class start time are not eligible for refunds.

Half term Block Bookings:
Some classes (including YogaFit & Hatha Yoga Flow) are run in half terms, which are usually between 5 and 7 weeks.  Block bookings confirm you place at class every week (or part thereof for alternate block booking packages) for the said half term.  Booking in advance for half term/block pacakages is essential and your place is only confirmed once payment is received.  There are no refunds for missed classes and missed classes may not be carried over to the next half term.  You may however be able to swap into an alternative class with The Yoga Batch (subject to availability) or access a Zoom recording of an alternative class (where available).
To cancel a half term/block package booking, please contact me via email to theyogabatch@gmail.com at least 48 hours before the first start day of your half term/block package booking.  Cancellations 48 hours or more before  will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to an alternative course within the following half term.  Cancellations within 48 hours of the first class of the half term/block package (or within 48 hours prior to a class when cancelling part way through a half term) may be eligible for a partial refund equivalent to the value of the remaining classes booked.    Course start days/half term lengths are detailed on the Online Classes and Book Online pages.

1:1/Private Yoga Sessions:
Bookings for private yoga sessions must be made in advance and payment is required to confirm your booking.  Bookings are best made via email and I will likely offer a short telephone conversation prior to the appointment to clarify your focus/needs/intentions for a private yoga session. To cancel a private session, please contact me at least 48 hours before the agreed start time of your private session. Cancellations 48 hours or more before the private session start time will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a mutually suitable date/time.  Cancellations made within 48 hours of the  private session start time will not be eligible to a refund.
Private yoga sessions booked as a block and therefore eligible for the reduced rate (£160 for four sessions) must be used within 3 months of the first private session.  Unused bookings will expire after three months from the date of the first session and are non-refundable.

Classes or courses cancelled by The Yoga Batch:
If The Yoga Batch needs to cancel a course or class, for any reason, as much notice as possible will be given.  On occassions and where possible a suitably qualified/insured cover teacher may instruct the class, rather than cancel a scheduled class.  If a class is cancelled by The Yoga Batch, students will be offered the option to transfer their booking to an alternative/rescheduled class, receive a credit note to use for future bookings or receive a full refund.  Yoga in The Garden,  is subject to dry/suitable weather.  If weather conditions mean that the session cannot take place outside, participants will be contacted on the morning of the class and an alternative studio based or online Zoom yoga class will be offered in the first instance.  For students who do not wish to/are unable to join an online Zoom class, a credit note/full refund can be offered.

The Yoga Batch@Home (on-demand yoga library):
When purchasing The Yoga Batch@Home program (online on-demand yoga library) you agree that you are purchasing a subscription of £12 per month that is charged on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.  The subscription fee will automatically be withdrawn from your account upon purchase (or at the end of any free trial period where appropiate).
Should you wish to terminate your subscription at any time (or within the free trial period), this can be done through your member profile area accessible at the top right of each webpage. See this video for instructions.
Partial refeunds are not available for cancellations made mid-way through a subscrition period, but will stop from the next subscription renewal date.  Alternatively you can contact Kate at The Yoga Batch via email ~ you will need to allow up to 14 days prior to your subscription renewal date and will need to confirm your name/email address and  scheduled renewal date in this email.

Liability Waiver:

Yoga is a safe and effective way in which to look after your health and wellbeing, however it is recommended that you consult with your GP before starting any new exercise.  Listen to your body and if you feel pain or strain, ease out of postures and rest. You may chose to make suitable adjustments or modifications to your practice.  Kate Batchelor/The Yoga Batch can accept no liability for personal injury or damages related to participation in a session online via zoom, in person or pre-recorded with The Yoga Batch.  Yoga and any exercise should be performed at a pace which feels comfortable for you. If any exercise/movement causes you pain you should stop immediately.  You understand and accept the risks involved.

Pregnancy:  it is not advised to begin any new yoga/exercise regime in the first trimester of pregnancy.  It is inadvisable to practice yoga between weeks 6 to 14 of your pregnancy and you should consult medical advice and be cautious, adjusting your practice accordingly during each stage of your pregnancy.  You may prefer to explore specific pre and post-natal yoga classes.
